Learning a new stitch
I have been playing with a new stitch on the knitting board. I can't remember where I saw this but I have a hard time following written instructions so I just started doing my "own thing". Its creating a knit/purl ribbing type pattern. One thing I am seeing with the new KK long looms is the pegs are so slim that its creating a very tight stitch. I first did the lucest cast on (not sure it was the smartest thing with this stitch but I will see in the end). Here is how I am wrapping the pegs:
Here is what it looks like while working up (yarn used: Bernat Sweet Stripes baby yarn):

Hi Jami,
I really like the looks of this stitch, and it looks very easy, I'm going to give it a try, I haven't worked with any of the new KK Long Loons yet, I'll let you know if I have any questions, if you don't mind. Thanks so much for sharing this with us.
Hugs,
Karen W.
Jami,
This stitch looks so cool. I love it. Thanks for sharing!
i love this stitch, but i can't see well how it is wrapped or pulled. could you share that info? or is it still in progress?
that stitch looks very interesting. can you elaborate more on how you wrap to knit over?
I cast on using the lucet cast on so I would have a tighter, less loopy first row. This creates a loop on every peg. As you wrap like I have shown you will knit off each peg because of the cast on. It will create a ribbed stitch. This type of stitch with baby yarn does "collapse/shrink" alot like a ribbed stitch does but it expands nicely.
